Maison Moemoea
is conceived, composed and led by Emma Winter,
a British multidisciplinary artist.
Through Emma Winter Studio, her wider practice explores the relationship between our inner landscapes and the physical environments we inhabit, working across sculpture, installation, sound and spatial experience.
Maison Moemoea extends this enquiry through sound, vibration and inward exploration.
Winter approaches each gathering as a complete artistic encounter,
with every element considered with care,
from the invitation and setting to the unfolding of the work.
Her approach to vibrational sound combines professional training with years of intuitive exploration, reflecting an enduring curiosity about the ways resonance can shape awareness and perception.
Working live and responsively, Winter weaves together soundscapes, field recordings, vibrational instruments, silence and intuitive non-linguistic vocal expression in response to the acoustics of the space and the collective presence within it.
The worlds we inhabit are shaped by the worlds we carry within us.
